IOSH certified courses

SAFER Training delivers the IOSH Working Safely and IOSH Managing Safely courses, which are the leading health and safety courses that are attended worldwide, with more than 130,000 trainees taking these courses globally worldwide every year. The one-day Working Safely course delivers a 100% match to the UK Health and Safety Executive’s “Passport” syllabus and provides highly effective introductory level health and safety training for any level of employee from any business sector or organisation.

The four-day Managing Safely course is designed for managers and supervisors from any organisation or sector and delivers a comprehensive step-by-step guide with sharp business focus communicating key health and safety messages, with the use of a number of highly engaging and innovate training aids.

SAFER Training has also developed industry specific versions of the Working Safely course to specifically address the requirements of the oil and gas industry and the subsea and marine industries. These courses are tailored such that the hazards, risks and control measures are relevant to that particular industry.

The specific oil and gas industry course contains examples relevant to production operations, maintenance, and the equipment used on a fixed onshore/ offshore installation/ FPSO. The subsea and marine industry courses contain examples that are more relevant to these sectors, including areas such as lifting operations, diving, and issues associated with the marine environment.

In all of these courses, delegates are made aware of their own company’s critical HSE forms and procedures (e.g. risk assessments/ safety observation cards/ isolation certificates/ PTW forms etc.) such that they are familiar with this paperwork prior to going into the workplace. Successful candidates will be awarded with an IOSH certificate, which is recognised globally as an indication of best practice in HSE.
